An envelope is broken down into 4 areas:

  • Address field

Legend:

  1. Area for advertising and sender
  2. Franking area 74 x 38 mm (must be left blank for franking, postal payment impression and postal information)
  3. The address field must be placed in this area
  4. Address field for address, address window or address label
  5. No sender information to the right of and below the address
  6. Code area (must be left blank)
up to format B5: Code area 140 x 15 mm
    from format B5 to B4: Code area 100 x 35 mm

We recommend that you write out the destination country in French od English on the last address line.
Adding the country abbreviations (ISO code or vehicle ID) before the postcode of the destination is not recommended.

Suggestion:

To ensure that your address ist written correctly to each country, use the fool of the Univerals Postal Union " Postal addressing systems in member countries".
